MSI’s Notable Products at Computex 2024

The 2024 Computex, the world’s second-largest and Asia’s biggest tech expo, has just wrapped up. As always, MSI, the Taiwan-based tech giant, took part in the event. This year, besides their usual components, MSI introduced some unique products, including MSI’s Notable Products at Computex 2024. Let’s explore the standout items MSI launched this year.

Laptop:

Prestige Series-

At Computex 2024, AI was the most talked-about topic, with companies large and small focusing on AI-centric products. MSI was no exception, showcasing several exciting laptop models with a strong emphasis on AI.

Prestige 16 AI Evo:

This laptop won the COMPUTEX Best Choice Golden Award. Despite being extremely slim and lightweight (weighing only 1.5 kg), it packs powerful hardware. It is available in various variants featuring several processors from Intel’s Core Ultra series. Display options include 2k IPS and 4k OLED. It also features two M.2 slots, up to 32GB of RAM, and AI-COPILOT key.

The Prestige series offers 13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch display sizes. Notable is the prestige 13 AI+, which weight only 900 grams. Additionally, the Prestige A16 AI+ was announced, featuring a new AMD AI series processor.

Summit Series:

Summit 13 AI+ Evo:

Designed for business and productivity, this extremely thin and lightweight flip laptop features an Intel Ultra series Lunar Lake processor and includes an MSI Pen 2 Stylus. Another model, the summit A16 AI+, also features a newly launched AMD AI series processor.

Stealth Series:

MSI introduced the AI SPECIAL LAPTOP stealth A16 AI+ in the Stealth series, featuring an AMD RYZEN AI 300 series processor. Two special models, the Stealth 18 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and ana updated version of the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, were launched to celebrate MSI’s one-year partnership with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. Additionally, several new models were added to the Modern series.

PC Components:

Graphics cards: RTX 4090 Suprim FUZION:

Among the PC components MSI showcased at Computex 2024, the Fuzion series graphics cards were the most discussed. Leading the lineup is the flagship RTX 4090 Suprim Fusion, which won the Best Choice Award. This graphics card offers 15% better performance than traditional cooling solutions and requires no separate despite being an AIO liquid cooler, eliminating the need users to install a separate radiator in their case. Notable features include:

• Patented liquid radiator with denser cooling section fins and sparser heat dissipation section fins for additional heat exchange.
• Extra liquid reservoir to ensure liquid supply for many cooling cycles.
• Special short pipe waterway design increase pressure for improved water circulation.

RTX 4080 Super EXPERT FUZION:

A few months ago, MSI launched several graphics cards in the RTX 40 Super Expert series. These GPUs featured a premium look inspired by NVIDIA’s Founders Edition. At Computex, MSI showcased EXPERT FUZION RTX 4080 Super graphics card, a collaboration with Cooler Master, featuring a Hidden AIO, which also doesn’t require a separate radiator. The card has two fans on each side despite being an AIO. Other features include:

• Push-pull airflow design expels heat from the graphics card and the entire PC system.
• Integrated liquid-cooled hybrid system design.
• Low-profile pump design allows more clearance for airflow.
• Microfin copper base with a thickened surface for enhanced memory and GPU cooling.

AI Designed GPU:

MSI also caught attention with AI Designed or AI Generated GPUs. MSI turned AI designs into reality by 3D printing several GPUs, featuring one or more dragons on the cooler. It is still uncertain whether these GPUs will be commercially available.

AI PC: MEG Vision X AI:

Another eye-catching product at MSI’s booth was the AI PC, named MEG Vision X AI, which features a large touchscreen display at the front. This display, with a custom OS, offers a range of built-in AI tools and Microsoft Copilot integration. According to MSI, it will be launched at the end of 2024 with the largest high-end components, such as RTX 50 Series and Intel Arrow Lake processors. MSI refers to this display as the HMI Double-shot Display, where the CPU outputs to the touchscreen while the GPU outputs to the gaming monitor.

Storage:

DATAMAG 40 Gbps / 20Gbps- Magnetic Portable SSD:

This portable SSD features magnetic portability, allowing it to be easily attached to any device with a mental ring. Other specs and features include:

• Aluminum Alloy Casing for Durability and Thermal Efficiency.
• Cross-platform Compatible with PCs, Laptop, Mobiles and Consoles.
• USB 4.0 / 3.2 Gen2x2 for Up to 40 / 20 Gbps Transfer rates with 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities.

MSI DATAVAULT 20 Gbps-SSD Enclosure:

This SSD enclosure stands out with its aggressive design, giving it a gaming/military-grade feel. It is IP68 rated, meaning it is fully dust and water-resistant, and offers several features including:

• Blazing-fast Performance with USB-C 3.2 Gen2x2 for Up to 20 Gbps.
• M.2 Interface for 2242/2260/2280 From Factors. Aluminum Design for Durability and Thermal Efficiency.
• Cross-platform Compatible with PCs, Laptops, Mobiles and Consoles.
• Compatible with Apple Find My for Never Misplacing Files.

SPATIUM NON-METAL VAPOR CHAMBER SSD THERMAL SOLUTON:

According to MSI, this is the world’s first “non-metal” SSD vapor chamber. Its features including:

• 2-phrase Flow Transition from Liquid to Gas.
• Minimal Signal Interference.
• Rapid and Silent Heat Exchange.
• Lightweight Design.

Motherboard:

Z790 PROJECT ZERO PLUS (CAMM2):

MSI showcased several motherboards for AMD’s newly launched 9000 series, including the unique Z790 PROJECT ZERO PLUS (CAMM2). The main attraction of this cable-less design board is its support for the new memory from factor CAMM2. Other features include:

• Enhanced Power Design: 14+1+1 DRPS and dual 8-pin CPU power connectors.
• Lighting Fast Gaming experience: PCIe 5.0 slot, Lightning Gen 4×4 M.2, USB 20 Gbps Type-C.
• Intel 2.5Gbps LAN with Wi-Fi 7 Solution.

Casing

MPG VELOX 300R AIRFLOW PZ/WHITE:

This casing features two 160mm exclusive dual-layer layer blade fans. Other notable features include:

• The inner blades concentrate airflow, while the outer blades enhance stability.
• Supports dual 360mm AIO liquid cooler on the both the front and top sides.
• Supports ATX Back-connect motherboards and up to 390 mm graphics cards.

Power Supply:

MEG Ai1600T:

This 1600W PCIe5 power supply will be available in the fourth quarter of the year. The ATX 3.1 Standard supported PSU also features RGB lighting and includes two PCIe 2×16 connectors. Besides the 1600W model, 850W, 1000W, and 1200W models will also be available.

Cooler:

MPG CORELIQUID P Series:

This cooler features a 4.3-inch IPS panel within a 270-degree rotatable enclosure, allowing users to rotate it as desired. It will be available in the fourth quarter of the year.

Monitor:

MSI announced and launched several monitors at Computex 2024, including the MEG 321URX QD-OLED, the world’s first Gaming AI Monitor, priced at $1700. Additionally, the QD-OLED series MEG 321UP QD-OLED model was also launched. MSI also introduced several entry-level business monitors and mid-range 4K monitor.

Peripherals:

MSI, which has been producing PC peripherals for several years, focused on wireless peripherals at this year’s Computex. MSI launched the STRIKE PRO WIRELESS keyboard, FORCE PRO WIRELESS gamepad, and VERSA PRO WIRELESS mouse.
